How to delete your account and personal data

At Emmathinking, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This page explains the available methods and what happens when you delete your account.

Option 1: Delete via App Settings

The fastest way to delete your account is through the app:

Open Emmathinking - Log in to your account if you haven't already
Go to Settings - Navigate to your profile and tap on the Settings icon
Select Account - Find and tap on the "Account" or "Privacy" section
Delete Account - Tap "Delete Account" and confirm your decision
Verification - You may need to verify your identity via OTP before deletion

Option 2: Request via Email

If you cannot access your account or prefer email communication, send a deletion request to our support team:

Subject: Account Deletion Request

Please include in your email:

The email address associated with your account
The phone number registered with your account (if applicable)
Your full name as it appears on your profile

We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.

What Data Gets Deleted?

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

Personal Information

Name and profile image
Email address
Phone number

Authentication Data

Login credentials
Social login connections
Active sessions

Session History

Login timestamps
IP address logs
Device information

Account Settings

Preferences
Verification status
Account metadata

Deletion Timeline

Immediate: Account access is disabled and you are logged out of all devices
Within 7 Days: Email deletion requests are reviewed and processed
Within 30 Days: All personal data is permanently deleted from our active systems
Within 90 Days: Data is purged from all backup systems (except where legally required)

Important Notes

⚠️ Account deletion is permanent. Once deleted, your account and data cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have saved any information you need before requesting deletion.

We may retain certain data as required by law (e.g., financial records, legal disputes)
Anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes
If you used Google Sign-In, you may also want to revoke access from your Google Account settings
